Stage one

Discover

Every project starts with a conversation. We set up a free, no-obligation 30-minute call to get to know your business, your goals, and the people you're trying to reach. There's no sales pitch. just an honest chat about whether we're the right fit for what you need.

Before the call, we ask you to fill in a short brief covering the basics: what you do, who your customers are, and what success looks like to you. That way we can use our 30 minutes talking about strategy, not collecting information we could have gathered beforehand.

During the discovery call we'll dig into your competitors, your current digital presence, and any constraints. budget, timeline, technical limitations. that might shape the project. We're not just trying to understand the build; we're trying to understand your business.

After the call we take a day or two to research your market and think through the right approach. If we don't think we're the best option for your specific situation, we'll tell you. and often point you towards someone who is.

  • Free 30-minute discovery call. no obligation, no pressure
  • Short pre-call brief so we use your time well
  • Competitor and market research before we recommend anything
  • Honest assessment of whether we're the right fit
"What does success look like for your business in 12 months?"
"We want to stop relying on word-of-mouth and start getting found online."
"Got it. Let's look at what's working for your competitors..."

Stage two

Propose

Within a few days of your discovery call, we send you a detailed proposal. Not a vague quote with asterisks. a real document that spells out exactly what we'll build, how long it will take, and what you'll pay. One number, no hourly rates, no scope creep surprises.

The proposal covers the full project scope in plain language: what's included, what's explicitly not included, the payment structure (typically 50% upfront, 50% on delivery), and a week-by-week timeline so you know what to expect at every stage.

We'll also include a brief visual direction section. mood board references, typeface options, or UI examples. so you can see roughly where the design is heading before you commit. No nasty surprises four weeks in.

You'll have time to review the proposal, ask questions, and request changes to scope before signing. We'd rather iron out scope questions before we start than have an awkward conversation halfway through a build.

  • Detailed written proposal within 3 business days of your call
  • Fixed price. no hourly billing, no scope creep
  • Week-by-week timeline so you always know what's next
  • Visual direction references before you commit
3
Stage three

Build

Once the proposal is signed and the first payment is in, we get to work. The build stage typically has three phases: design, development, and review. We don't hand you a blank questionnaire and disappear for six weeks. we share work throughout the process so you can give feedback when it matters.

Design comes first. We produce a set of high-fidelity mockups in Figma covering the key pages and components. You'll review these and give feedback before a single line of code is written. This saves time and avoids the frustration of redesigning things mid-build.

Development follows design. We build in weekly check-ins where we share a live preview link so you can see real progress, test on your own devices, and flag any issues early. We write clean, well-organised code and test across all major browsers and screen sizes before we hand anything over.

Before launch, we run a thorough quality-assurance pass: performance testing, accessibility checks, cross-browser review, and a content proofread. We use the Lighthouse audit tool to ensure your site scores above 90 on performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO before we declare it ready.

Stage four

Grow

Launch day is exciting. but it's also just the beginning. Once your project is live, we don't disappear. Every project includes a support period where we're on hand to fix any bugs, answer questions, and help you get comfortable with your new website or app.

During the first 30 days after launch, we monitor performance closely, check for any issues that only appear with real traffic, and make small optimisations based on how users are actually behaving. Think of it as a running-in period. we're watching the data so you don't have to.

After the initial support period, many clients choose to continue working with us on a monthly retainer. This covers things like content updates, SEO improvements, A/B testing, new feature development, and performance reviews. You get priority response times and a team that already knows your business inside out.

We also run quarterly strategy sessions for retainer clients, reviewing what's working, what could be better, and what opportunities you might be missing. The goal is to keep your digital presence improving. not just maintaining the status quo.

  • Post-launch monitoring and bug fixes included in every project
  • 30-day running-in period with performance checks
  • Optional monthly retainer for ongoing improvements
  • Quarterly strategy reviews for retainer clients
Common questions

Everything you might be wondering

It depends on the scope. A straightforward website typically takes 3-4 weeks from proposal sign-off to launch. An e-commerce store is usually 5-6 weeks. A custom app is 8-12 weeks. We give you a firm timeline in the proposal and stick to it.

Mainly your time for two things: a design review around week one (usually 45-60 minutes) and your final sign-off before launch. Outside of that, you'll need to supply your brand assets (logo, photos, copy) and give us access to any existing accounts. We try to make this as easy as possible with a content checklist.

Yes. within reason. Small tweaks during the build are fine and don't affect the price. Significant changes to scope (adding new pages, changing the tech stack, redesigning a core section) may require an amended proposal. We'll always be upfront about when a change falls outside the original scope.

That's exactly why we show you the designs before we build anything. The Figma review stage gives you two full rounds of revisions to get the look and feel right. If you're still not happy after that, we'll talk it through honestly. We've never had a client who wasn't satisfied with the final result. in part because we do our homework in the discovery stage.

Our standard payment structure is 50% upfront and 50% on delivery. For larger projects (over $5,000) we can discuss a three-stage payment. 30% to start, 40% at design sign-off, 30% on launch. We don't charge interest and there are no admin fees. Get in touch and we can work something out that suits your cash flow.
